Dear Friend,

In Connecticut today, the line between stability and crisis has never been thinner. One unexpected bill, one job loss, and a family can lose their home. Soaring rents and a shrinking supply of affordable homes have put even middleโ€‘income families at risk. Additionally, as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits diminish, recipients are left uncertain about how they will pay for groceries next month. At Pacific House, we cannot ignore the heartbreaking truth: more of our neighbors are being forced to choose between food and rent, and this crisis will bring even more people to our doors.

Almost 67,000 Fairfield County families are impacted by SNAP benefits1
Almost 11,100 families in Fairfield County are projected to lose $25+ per month of SNAP benefits2
In September 2025, Fairfield County home prices were up 10.7% compared to last year3

Give the Gift of Hope This Season. Donate Today.

We need your help. Your generosity fuels Pacific Houseโ€™s ability to deliver the programs and services that prevent homelessness in our community. Last year, 213 individuals who had been living on the streets found safety in our shelter. Nearly 50% of these sheltered guests moved into permanent housing, freeing up shelter beds to serve others in need. Thanks to the dedicated work of our case managers and staff, this movement from shelter to housing has significantly decreased the number of people living on the streets.

This Season, Help Turn Fear Into Safety. Help Turn Crisis Into Stability.

Prevent homelessness through diversion. Flexible, donor-supported funds prevent a crisis. With small, timely assistance such as covering a security deposit, a few weeks of back rent or utilities, a car repair to keep someone working, or short motel stays while a lease is finalized, case managers can quickly and safely stabilize housing for men, women, and families with children.Your gift puts immediate solutions within reach: keeping children in their schools, helping neighbors remain housed, and giving people the chance to seek permanent solutions.

Support the growing demand. As homelessness continues to increase in the state, seniors on fixed incomes, single adults, and working families face record rent prices and fewer affordable options. Unrestricted donations sustain core services like housing, meals, health care services, and housing navigation. Your partnership empowers Pacific House to respond and move more people from crisis to home.

In a moment when basic necessities feel out of reach for so many, Pacific House remains a place where hope arrives, safety begins, and stability rebuilds.
